Installing a racing seat belt harness

Here is the very simple installation of a Corbeau 2" racing seat belt harness.

This is a Corbeau 2" Double Release 3 point harness. It comes with the bolts, spacers, and lock washers. I removed the rear seat seat belt latch and bolted the shoulder harness directly into the stock mounting hole. No modification required!

Next, feed the belt through the seat back.

Then through the sides and mount them to the existing mounting points, or in this case the Corbeau Custom seat bracket. Notice the order of the hardware: bolt, belt, spacer, lock nut. This allows the belt to swivel.

Adjust the straps to fit properly and you're done!

CG-Lock

The CG-Lock attaches to your stock seat belt and allows you to cinch down and lock the lap belt portion of the belt while allowing the shoulder portion to function normally.

It improves the performance of the DRIVER, not the car! Your hips are your body's center of gravity. Tightly help hips provide the first two of the three benefits of a full harness as described above. As for the 3rd benefit-increased safety- the CG-Lock is not sold as a safety device, but it has been designed and fully tested to not interfere with a seat belt's safety.
